Family Information Liaison Units Family Information Liaison Units (FILUs) provide specialized services to families of missing and murdered Indigenous people. In 2016, FILUs were established to support families of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. In 2023, the Government of Canada increased support to allow FILUs to serve families of all missing and murdered Indigenous people, including men and boys.
